Lunch, Learn, and Share

Inclusive events for individuals to meet, connect, and learn

Two women stand in front of a projector screen; one holds a microphone toward the other. The screen reads “Welcome to Lunch, Learn, and Share!” and displays city and organization logos.

The Opportunity

With a growing number of older adults and caregivers seeking connections and resources, we recognized an opportunity to create an inclusive space for them to come together and engage in meaningful learning experiences. By fostering these connections, we could also ensure that they feel seen, supported, and well-informed as they navigate their journeys.

The Solution

Lunch, Learn, and Share is a bi-monthly event offered through the Duluth Age-Friendly Initiative and hosted in collaboration with Duluth Aging Support, Svalja Whole-Being, Duluth Parks and Recreation, and Ecolibrium3. The events promote social participation by bringing older community members together for a shared experience of food, fun, and a relational learning environment through conversation with each other and presentations on relevant topics from community experts.
