Let’s Make Waves to End Ageism

A collective movement to champion an age-friendly Arrowhead Region

The Opportunity

Ageism is a prevalent issue that impacts our society and arises when age is unfairly used to categorize and divide people, leading to harmful consequences. By embracing positive attitudes about aging, we can enhance the quality of life and foster a stronger, more inclusive, and welcoming community for all ages.

The Solution

To raise awareness about ageism, we developed and micro-funded the Let’s Make Waves to End Ageism campaign in partnership with the Arrowhead Changemakers, a group of aging ambassadors from the seven-county Northeastern Minnesota region. Together, we’re working to engage the public in joining the movement to create an age-friendly Arrowhead Region for all.
