Highlighting the unique experiences of aging and caregiving

The Opportunity
Aging and caring for loved ones are shaped by culture, identity, socioeconomic status, and access to vital resources. Yet, these diverse perspectives are often overlooked in broader discussions about aging. To build a more inclusive and supportive community for all ages, we must recognize and address these differences.
The Solution
The Northland Diversity in Aging Series (NDIA) was created in collaboration with The College of Saint Scholastica’s Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and Gerontology Program, the Northland Foundation, and the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging to amplify diverse aging and caregiving experiences. Through events, discussions, and resources, NDIA sparks meaningful conversations, explores the impact of policies and systems, and supports individuals and caregivers from all backgrounds.
